The Rex Theater, located at 156 Johnson Avenue in Orofino, Idaho, has been a cultural landmark for over a century. Established in 1914 by J.H. Bert Miller as Orofino’s first theater, it was acquired by Al Wagner Sr. in 1955 and remained in the Wagner family for decades. Renovations over the years preserved its early 20th-century charm, including a sloping floor, balcony, and a visible piano pit from its silent film days. On March 11, 2025, new owners CC Horton and Barbara-Lee Jordan took over, continuing its legacy with films, live music, and special events. The theater remains an active hub for the community, honoring Orofino’s rich artistic heritage.
Rex Theatre is Orofino’s premier venue for films, live music, and special events—celebrating over a century of entertainment and community spirit.
